Teeth Whitening

If you aren’t happy with the color of your teeth, an in-office whitening treatment is a great option. Teeth whitening (also called “bleaching”) is safe and effective and can give you a much more brilliant smile.

Traditional whitening

The most common type of whitening is done with a gel that contains hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. The gel is put into trays and placed on your teeth for several minutes. The gel breaks up stains on the surface and helps brighten deeper discoloration. This treatment option can get your teeth several shades whiter.

Phillips Zoom Light-Activated Whitening

For the fastest whitening results, we offer Phillips Zoom Light-Activated Whitening which is similar to traditional whitening in that a gel is placed on the teeth, but this gel is activated by a special light that is shined onto your teeth.

Sensitivity

For some people, whitening causes tooth sensitivity. Whitening agents can irritate the nerves in your teeth and while this sensitivity usually goes away on its own, if a whitening product is making your teeth sensitive, you may need to take a break from whitening. There are also special toothpastes that can help reduce sensitivity.
